By creating a Sonveil account, joining our waitlist, using our mobile app, or accessing any Sonveil service (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sonveil Inc. ("Sonveil," "we," "our," or "us"), a company organized under the laws of the State of Minnesota.
To access most features of Sonveil, you must create an account. You agree to:
Sonveil reserves the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts at our sole discretion.
Free tier: Sonveil Free is available at no charge and includes the browser extension, Sonveil Weekly email, and limited streaming preview.
Paid tiers: Sonveil+ ($6.99/month) and Sonveil Pro ($14.99/month) are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Early-bird pricing: The first 10,000 waitlist subscribers who convert at launch are eligible for early-bird pricing of $4.99/month for Sonveil+, locked for 12 months.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
You agree not to use Sonveil to:
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
Sonveil's content: All content on the Service created by Sonveil — including the platform design, HumanVerified™ certification system, Serendipity Algorithm, FairWave Royalties system, and all associated trademarks — is owned by Sonveil Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Sonveil's content without our written permission.
Artist content: Artists retain full ownership of the music they upload to Sonveil. By submitting music to the Service, artists grant Sonveil a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to stream, display, and promote their music on the Sonveil platform for the duration of their participation in the FairWave Artist Program. This license terminates when the artist removes their music or terminates their account.
User-generated content: Any content you submit (such as profile information or tips) must not violate any third-party intellectual property rights.
The HumanVerified™ badge certifies that a track has passed Sonveil's AI-detection pipeline as of the date of certification. This certification represents our best technical assessment at the time of review. Sonveil does not guarantee that every certified track is human-made, and is not liable for any misclassification.
Attempting to circumvent the HumanVerified™ process — including by submitting AI-generated content falsely represented as human-made — is a material breach of these Terms and will result in immediate account termination. Sonveil reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for fraudulent submissions.
Sonveil integrates with or links to third-party services including Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Stripe, and Supabase. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Sonveil is not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of third-party services.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SONVEIL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
While we strive to maintain accurate information, we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content on the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SONVEIL AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL SONVEIL'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID SONVEIL IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You may terminate your account at any time by going to Profile → Privacy → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing info@sonveil.app.
Sonveil may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to first contact us at info@sonveil.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or prominent notice in the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
